Booking your pet’s stay is easy! Simply click “Click Here To Make A Reservation” at the top of the homepage to make a reservation online. Prefer to speak with us directly? Give us a call at 859-255-3130 — we’re happy to help!

We recommend bringing your pet’s regular food to help prevent stomach upset caused by a sudden diet change. If you forget or run out, we will provide our house food at an additional cost.

Please pack only enough food for your pet’s stay, plus a few extra meals. Pre-packaged individual meals are welcome and encouraged.

Note: Large food containers, oversized bags, or bulk packaging will not be accepted.

To help your pet feel more at home, you’re welcome to bring a favorite toy, any necessary medications, and a blanket.

Vaccination & Health Requirements

To ensure the health and safety of all our guests, vaccinations must be administered under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian at least 48 hours prior to arrival. However, we strongly recommend vaccines be given 10–14 days before check-in for optimal effectiveness. Written proof of vaccinations is required at the time of check-in.

Dog Vaccination Requirements

• DHPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza): 1- or 3-year vaccine required
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough): Required at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Please note, many veterinarians administer this vaccine by request only.
• Rabies: 1- or 3-year vaccine required
• Canine Influenza: Not required, but highly recommended to protect against respiratory illness
• Leptospirosis: Not required, but highly recommended to help prevent bacterial infection

Cat Vaccination Requirements

• FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia): 1- or 3-year vaccine required
• Rabies: 1- or 3-year vaccine required

Flea, Tick & Health Policy

All pets must be free of fleas and ticks. Any overnight or day camp guest showing signs of fleas or ticks will not be permitted to check in.

Checklist: Prior to Boarding or Daycare at Bluegrass Pet Chalet, Your Pet Must Be:

• ❏ Current on flea and heartworm prevention
• ❏ Up to date on required vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)
• ❏ Have a negative fecal test within the past year

Check-In & Check-Out Policy

We offer two check-in and check-out windows:

• Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Please note:

• A morning check-in requires a morning check-out.
• An afternoon check-out following a morning check-in will incur an additional day charge.

Late Pick-Up Fees:

• Check-outs after 6:00 PM (up to 6:30 PM) will incur a $25 late fee.
• After 6:30 PM, your pet will need to stay an additional night, and you may check out the following day. This will be billed as an extra night’s stay.

In the event that your pet shows signs of illness, we will first attempt to contact you and your designated emergency contact. If we are unable to reach either of you, we will consult the veterinarian listed on your pet’s file.
