We recommend you bring your pet’s own food to avoid any upset stomachs due to diet change. Should they run out or if you forget, our house food will be provided at additional cost. Please only bring enough food for your pet’s stay plus a few extra meals. You are welcome to bring your pet’s food as prepackaged meals. NO LARGE FOOD CONTAINERS OR LARGE BAGS , ETC will be allowed.  Please bring your pet's favorite toy, medications and a blanket to make your pet feel more at home.

Vaccinations must be administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian. However, we prefer vaccinations be administered 10-14 days before check-in to ensure maximum efficiency. Written proof is required.  

DHPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required

Bordetella Required at least 48 hours prior to check-in to ensure maximum efficiency and protection against Kennel Cough. Please note that many veterinarians administer this vaccine only by request.

FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia) (for cats) 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required

Rabies 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required

Canine Influenza (for dogs) Not required, but highly recommended to help protect against the Canine Influenza respiratory illness. Consult your veterinarian.

Leptospirosis Not required, but highly recommended to help protect against the Leptospirosis infection. Consult your veterinarian.

Fleas & Ticks In addition to vaccinations, all pets should be flea and tick free. Overnight and Day Camp guests with signs of fleas and/or ticks will not be permitted to check-in at Bluegrass Pet Chalet.

Requirements. Prior to boarding or daycare at Bluegrass Pet Chalet your pet MUST:

❏ Be current on flea and heartworm prevention.

❏ Be current on vaccines (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella).

❏ A Negative fecal within the past year.

We have morning (8:00am-12:00pm) and afternoon (3:00pm-6:00pm) check-in and out. A morning check-in will require a morning check-out and the same for afternoon check-out. Morning check-in and an afternoon check-out will be billed an additional day of stay. 

Afternoon check-out is to be completed by 6:00pm, any check-outs after 6:00pm, up to 6:30pm will be billed and additional $25.00.

After 6:30pm, your pet will be required to stay an additional night. You will be able to check-out your pet the following day. An additional night of stay will be billed.

In the event your pet is showing symptoms of illness, we will attempt to contact you and your emergency contact. If we are unable to contact you, we will contact your vet on file.
